Random People

Random people talk to me all the time. In real terms they are strangers. I thought most parents or guardians taught their children to never talk to strangers. Let's just use this week as an example. It all started with Tattoos and Gas then at Fresh and Easy Market some lady started talking to me about the Humus then kind of followed me through the market as we shopped making small talk about the groceries we were each choosing. While a Forrest and I were at Hoover Dam 2 separate sets of people asked me for help maybe I looked like I worked there or something. Today while picking out printer ink this guy started talking to me about the different types of ink and how outrageously priced the cartridges were. I don't know what it is with me, people just talk to me.

Seriously Funny

So Steph and I had a Brian Regan night. We just enjoy this funny, funny man. In true Jen & Steph fashion we went overboard. We had video and games and of course food that all went along with some of his bits. We had sno-cones, cups o' dirt and of course Pb&J in the same jar with crutons. We played some silly games like Sell the Fridge, Coach class, Fig Newton Eating contest and more. If you have not heard of Brian Regan then I am just going to assume you have been living under a rock. My favorite bit is one that he does about doughnut ladies. What's yours?

Tattoos and Gas

Did that title catch your eye or what? Well it's true... Saturday I stopped at the Korner Gas station (Korner is the name) to pump up before heading across town. Sad to say but my gas light came on the day before, but I had 3 bags of ice in my car so I couldn't stop it being about 105 degrees that day. So back to the real story. So I go to grab my debit card and it is not in its usual spot but I am in a hurry so I just grab my credit card and put it in the machine and the screen says to go see the attendant. I see this car with a couple of interesting looking gents in it they both have shaved heads with tattoos all over their head and arms. I'm like yummy... just kidding. So they see me walking toward the door and they are like waiting for me, holding the doors open so I call my friend Steph and whisper to her the situation oh and sidebar: someone was shot and killed inside this gas station last year. So I sign for the gas and go back out and start pumping my gas and then out come these two guys again and they are walking right at me and I'm like oh grand what do they need. They just wanted to invite me to a party at their place later that night. I politely declined because I had other plans (not because they were scary as all get out). Then they start walking away and I notice this less fortunate fellow going through the garbage cans looking for food, I'm telling you this place was high class. Even though this was a really long post it all happened in a matter of like 10 min.

A New Trend

Ok so once you are single as long as I've been the instant you hear bridal shower you are like "oh boy another one". Then you think I just can't wait to play unscramble the wedding words, build a toilet paper wedding dress, and wedding memory, and all the rest of those games you feel obligated to participate in. I know this sounds mean but true, who really likes playing those games...raise your hand, go ahead do it. So when my friend Sara told me she was getting married and I knew I would be throwing a shower for her she allowed me to take it in whatever direction I wanted. I invited her closest friends and family and we went out to a nice resturaunt and ate dinner. I think that we should start a new bridal shower trend.

The Office

If you haven't ever watched The Office you are missing out. I realize that if you just watch one episode you may not be interested because the antics are so far out there. I used to be one of those uninterested people but then, thanks to my friend Stephanie's persistence and drugging me with Golden Spoon, I learned to quickly appreciate and come to really enjoy the show. You have to watch a few and get to know the characters a little before you can really appreciate what is going on. So my friend Steph and I threw a little Office gathering and invited everyone to come dressed as their favorite characters. We watched some of our favorite clips from all three seasons and played some games. Here are a few pics of the fabulous guests.

Getting Started

All right ladies and gents I have been meaning to get this blog under way. I have just been kind of looking for something exciting to post and then I realized that I was waiting around for no reason. I will not be skydiving or climbing Mount Kilimanjaro anytime soon so I should just write about the happenings of the real me...
